Romantic Places in Paris for Lovers

Paris is unlike any other city when it comes to its many romantic spots. It is the city that encourages everyone in it to live carefree and in a free-spirited manner.

A lot of cities in the world claim to be romantic; but Paris has its own unique atmosphere and character – because this City of Light is also known to many as the ultimate City of Love.

I’ve seen a lot of couples and tourists casually lounging on the green and wide expanse gardens just outside The Museum of Romantic Life.

And then there are those who exchange sweet kisses under the Eiffel Tower while some choose to share a warm embrace right in front of The Wall of I Love You.

Without a doubt, Paris is filled with love, romance and many other wondrous things for everyone. Not to mention, the most romantic cafes and dining spots for extravagant dates.

And with that; allow me to share with you some of the most romantic places that are noteworthy in Paris.

Paris offers world-famous landmarks and architectures that are both classic and romantic.

The Butte Montmartre

Montmartre is famous for being the home of artists, dancers and as the setting for the romantic movie “Amelie”.

Located at its peak is the impressive architecture of the Sacre-Coeur which is the great Church of the Sacred Heart.

The Butte Montmartre also offers a distinct romantic view of the city with its winding streets and roofs spiralling down below.

In my opinion, it is actually a spot that offers a fusion of authentic Parisian village from the past and a modern romantic district.

The Butte Montmartre is a district that features the authentic charm of Paris. It is also known for its artistic history.

Moreover, the city of the Belle Epoque with its quaint restaurants and cafes are just some of the most favorite places for lovers and tourists alike.

The Pont des Arts and the Pont de L’Archeveche

These are two famous bridges in Paris that embody love. Couples from all over the world used to come to this place to put padlocks in various sizes and shapes with their names or initials engraved on them.

This romantic idea has become so popular among tourists that the weight of the metallic padlocks actually challenged the stability and strength of the mesh railings. In 2015, the padlocks were removed from the bridges.

This spot which is located in Seine clearly embodies romance and is very popular among couples who want to enjoy the spectacular view and the great outdoors in Paris.

The Eiffel Tower

For over a hundred years, Paris’ famous Iron Lady has stood and watched over the city. With a height of 324 meters, it has witnessed a countless number of lovers kissing along the gardens of the Champ de Mars.

The Eiffel Tower is also the witness for many marriage proposals, proclamation of love and first kisses which makes it an ultimate destination for couples in love.

At night, it sparkles brightly and magnificently with its lights making it one of the most beautiful and romantic attractions.

This magnificent creation by Gustave Eiffel has become a major world landmark for its unique architectural design that reflects the strong image of Paris. And from the top, it offers a stunning 360 degree view of the entire city.

The Eiffel Tower is Paris’ famous “Iron Lady”. It is very popular among couples, tourists and honeymooners and is regarded by many as the most romantic structure in the city.

The Garden at the Museum of Romantic Life

This is a beautiful spot located at the foot of Montmartre that lovers would appreciate especially if they’re looking for a quiet and serene place.

In here, you’ll find a charming cafe that serves delightful coffee, tea and pastries. It features a country-style garden that is open to everyone and is always filled with the wondrous scent of fresh plants and flowers.

The garden at the Museum of Romantic Life is scenic, airy and rarely crowded. It’s also easy to find a private and romantic place to sit on with your loved one.

With its enchanting location, inviting cafe and open spaces, I consider it as one of the most picturesque spots in Paris.
